After 30 years in the U.S. Navy, I understand that service doesn’t stop at retirement. I also understand the strength it takes to raise a child alone — and the dedication it takes to care for aging loved ones.

Ward 1 is home to veterans, young families, and seniors who deserve more than basic services — they deserve opportunity.

As your councilwoman, I will:

• Strengthen ties between City Hall and the VA to streamline access to resources

• Support grant and aid programs that help veterans transition successfully to civilian life

• Advocate for better public transportation options for working families and seniors

• Expand partnerships for affordable child care and after-school support

• Promote multilingual outreach and inclusion to reflect our community’s cultural diversity including our large Hispanic population

Families and veterans have served this country and this city. Now it’s time the city serves them in return.
